Appalachian Cherry

Our #1Best Seller. The beautiful markings in Cherry have long fascinated woodworkers. Occasional clusters of tiny pin knots, or very small, dark streaks set cherry apart from any other hardwood. The heartwood varies from light brown to a reddish brown and will gradually darken over time with exposure to light. By contrast, the sapwood is a creamy white. HomerWood's Appalachian Cherry's rich, romantic elegance makes it a traditional American favorite.

Arctic Maple

HomerWood makes two sorts in the Hard Maple line; Arctic Maple and Hard Maple. Arctic Maple is most often used where a light, bright contemporary look is desired. Arctic maple is creamy white sapwood with the dark part pulled out. The result is a light colored floor, with the darker character marks, creating a beautiful contrast. This is hard, heavy, and strong.

Hickory

HomerWood's Hickory is another favorite. Popular in kitchen cabinetry, Hickory is known for its distinctive look and sharp contrast in light and dark color. The heartwood varies from pale brown to reddish brown and contrasts with the white sapwood. Thanks to its extreme density, HomerWood's Hickory stands the test of time under the most rigorous of conditions.

Hard Maple

HomerWood makes two sorts in the Hard Maple line; Arctic Maple and Hard Maple. In contrast to the Arctic Maple, Hard Maple is a traditional favorite that shows a broader range of color. HomerWood's Hard Maple will contain some brown heart color in every plank. Hard Maple's remarkable resistance to wear makes it a popular choice for high traffic areas.

This collection of Character Grade flooring offers a truly authentic distressed look because it is hand-scraped by Pennsylvania Dutch craftsmen in the tradition of Renaissance-era woodworking. New planks are hand-sculpted, one at a time, to create unique custom flooring of timeless originality and distinction.
